Top Three Ways to Make Your Divorce Shorter
You probably have heard the horror stories of divorces that take several years. However, there are ways to prevent your divorce from becoming a long and drawn out process. Here are the top three ways to make your divorce shorter:
1. Know your priorities. Not every aspect of a divorce has the same priority. Your priorities may be different from others. You should know and list what are the top three things for you in your divorce. If you focus on your priorities, you will not need to fight every battle and situation.
2. Cooperate with your attorney and the court. Throughout the divorce, your attorney and the courts, will ask you to provide documents and to attend court conferences. If you delay in providing the documents or you adjourn court conferences, then you will be delaying the divorce.
3. Find an attorney who shares your philosophy. Unfortunately, some attorneys are procrastinators, also there are attorneys who delay the process unnecessarily. When you hire an attorney, you want to make sure that your attorney knows that you want your divorce to end as soon as possible. Make sure the attorney shares your goal and ask him/her how they will obtain this goal.
David Badanes is aggressive and knows that most of his clients want the divorce process to be as short as possible. David Badanes shares that goal and will put in place a plan that will help to achieve this goal. If you live in Suffolk County, Nassau County or New York City and need a divorce (matrimonial) lawyer, then call David Badanes and the Badanes Law Office at (631) 430-4445 or email david@dbnylaw.com. The Badanes Law Office has offices in Northport, Garden City, Brooklyn and Manhattan.
