Five Signs That Your Spouse May File For A Divorce

You may have a suspicion that your spouse is thinking about filing for a divorce. Here are five signs that may confirm your suspicions:

1. You find a divorce attorney’s business card in your spouse’s clothes or in the house.

If you happen to find a divorce attorney’s business card, that is a pretty good sign that your spouse has spoken to a divorce attorney.

2. You notice some large or strange withdrawals from the banking accounts.

If you notice that your spouse has been taking very large withdrawals from the joint banking accounts, or, that your spouse has consistently been taking small withdrawals, without any explanation.  This may mean that they are building up some savings or monies for a divorce.

3. If you are in marriage counseling, and your spouse stops going to marriage counseling.

If you have been attending marriage counseling, and then your spouse stops going to the sessions or keeps cancelling sessions, that is a good sign that they have decided that counseling isn’t working, and that they may file for a divorce.

4. You and your spouse are constantly fighting.

If you and your spouse are constantly fighting, a divorce action could be in your future.

5. Your spouse is spending a lot of time with a “friend” of the opposite sex.

If you notice that your spouse is spending a lot of time with a friend of the opposite sex, this is usually a sign of trouble.
