Once a divorce action is started, one spouse can request temporary maintenance. Temporary maintenance is the aount of money that one spouse has to give to the other spouse for support. Temporary maintenance can be in place until the divorce is granted or until the court decides it should end.

Directions to the Suffolk County Office:

Directions from the intersection of Route 25A and the Sunken Meadow Parkway:
Take Route 25A West for approximately 4 miles. You will pass the following landmarks: IGA Shopping Center (on your left) and then Bottle Bargains Shopping Center (on your right). About 1 mile after the Bottle Bargains Shopping Center is the corner of Route 25A and Waterside Avenue (on your right)/Vernon Valley Road (on your left), there will be a Nocello's Restaurant on your right side. The office is opposite of Nocello's Restaurant. Parking is accessible via Vernon Valley Road. Make a Left Turn onto Vernon Valley Road and make your first Left Turn into the parking lot.

Directions from the Long Island Expressway:
Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 53 North (Sagtikos Parkway). The Sagtikos Parkway changes it name to the Sunken Meadow Parkway.

Take Sunken Meadow Parkway North until the Last Exit -- Exit SM 5W -- Route 25A West. Follow the directions from the intersection of Route 25A and the Sunken Meadow Parkway.

Directions from the Northern State Parkway:
Take the Northern State Parkway to Exit 45 North (Sunken Meadow Parkway). Take Sunken Meadow Parkway North until the Last Exit -- Exit SM 5W -- Route 25A West. Follow the directions from the intersection of Route 25A and the Sunken Meadow Parkway.

Directions from Huntington and points west of Northport:
Take Route 25A Eastbound into Northport. You will pass the Stop and Shop and then McDonalds. The first light after McDonalds is Vernon Valley Road (on your right)/Waterside Avenue (on your left). Make the Right Turn onto Vernon Valley Road. Make your first Left Turn into the parking lot.

Directions from Kings Park and points east of Northport:
Take Route 25A Westbound into Northport, passing the exit for the Sunken Meadow Parkway. Follow the directions from the intersection of Route 25A and the Sunken Meadow Parkway.

Directions from East Northport:
Take Larkfield Road to Vernon Valley Road. The parking lot for the building is accessible via Vernon Valley Road. Before the intersection with Route 25A make a Right Turn into the parking lot for 842 Route 25A.

Directions from Commack:
Take Commack Road (which changes its name to Townline Road and then to Bread & Cheese Hollow Road) to Route 25A. Make a Left Turn onto Route 25A. You will pass the Bottle Bargains Shopping Center (on your right). About 1 mile after the Bottle Bargains Shopping Center is the corner of Route 25A and Waterside Avenue (on your right)/Vernon Valley Road (on your left), there will be a Nocello's Restaurant on your right side.
